Ashley W. Taylor

Ashley’s practice focuses on helping individuals and their families in all aspects of estate planning, including the preparation of wills, trusts, prenuptial agreements, general durable powers of attorney, and advance health care directives. She helps clients understand both personal and financial goals, and works with clients and their professional advisors to achieve them. Ashley also provides guidance on wealth transfer strategies, gift and estate tax, the retitling of assets for estate planning purposes, and estate and trust administration. She takes a thoughtful and compassionate approach to working with her clients and their families.  Ashley's practice includes general business matters as well, including entity formation and business succession planning. 

Ashley is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Vermont and is a member of the Vermont Bar Associations. She is also a trained mediator through Champlain College/ Woodbury Institute.

Ashley attended Colby College and graduated summa cum laude in 1992, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was a Graduate College Social Science Fellow at the University of Vermont, where she obtained her Masters of Science in 1997. She graduated first in her class from Vermont Law School in 2002, where she served as the Vermont Editor on the Vermont Law Review. During law school, Ashley interned for a semester with the Vermont Supreme Court and clerked for a Burlington, Vermont law firm.

After law school, Ashley worked at a Michigan law firm, where she was a member of the Health Care Law group, assisting clients with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues, corporate compliance, federal and state investigations, and conditions of participation. Prior to joining  Lajoie Goldfine, Ashley worked at Stackpole & French Law Offices where she focused on estate and trust planning and administration.

Ashley has been appointed to the Vermont Professional Responsibility Program as a hearing panel member and assists in reviewing ethical violations by attorneys. She lives in Stowe, Vermont with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, swimming, traveling and being with her family.
